Top 5 Consumer Finance Apps on Android in Brazil, Q2 2021

In the second quarter of 2021, the Brazilian market saw some interesting trends among the top consumer finance applications on the Android platform. All data is sourced from Sensor Tower, where further insights are available.

Nubank: conta, cartão e mais maintained a strong presence with weekly downloads peaking at approximately 590K in mid-April. The app's weekly active users showed a consistent increase, starting at around 20.4M and reaching over 22.6M by the end of June.

PicPay: Conta, Cartão e Pix experienced a fluctuating download trend, beginning with a high of about 728K in early April and tapering to around 407K by the end of the quarter. Despite this, its weekly active users showed resilience, peaking at approximately 11.7M towards the end of May.

Banco PAN: Conta, Cartão e + saw a significant increase in downloads, notably reaching around 578K in early May. Active user numbers also rose, climbing steadily from approximately 2.5M at the start of the quarter to over 3.7M by early June.

PagBank Banco, Cartão e Conta had a varied download pattern, with numbers peaking at about 494K in early May before declining to around 211K by the end of June. However, active users demonstrated a stable increase, reaching approximately 4.4M by the quarter's close.

Lastly, CAIXA showed a steady download trend with numbers hovering around 444K in early April and ending at about 297K. Despite the fluctuation in downloads, its active user base remained robust, with numbers consistently above 11M throughout the quarter.
